Please read "Joining the Site" if you have not set up your account.

Submitting an abstract is a multi-step process:

1. Click on Abstracts in the left navigation menu or the tab at the top of the page.

2.  In the green bar above abstracts, click on the "add item" drop down menu and select folder.  Name the folder in the following manner:  Type of Submission (Paper, Panel, Poster) - Title.  For example: Paper - Deploying Windows Vista in a Lab Environment.  A description is optional.  Once you have entered those pieces of information, click on save.  The page will refresh and you will be inside your newly created folder.

- You will notice that in the upper right corner, it will read state: private.  This means that only you and site administrators can see your abstract.  If you are working with a team, you will want to change that state via the drop-down menu to "public draft" until all people have joined the site.  Information on controlling access to your folder will be posted shortly.

- Now that you have a folder you can submit your abstract.  Please submit your abstract as a Word document.  If you cannot upload a word document please speak with your editor to make sure they will be able to open your file.

3.  To submit your abstract, click on the "add item" drop down menu and select file. Enter a title for your file.  A description is optional.  Use the browse option to locate your file and upload it.  Click save.  Again, if you are working with more than one person that will be uploading the file to the site, you will need to change the state from private, to public draft.
